"Thanks!" from Internally Displaced People

On behalf of the Internally Displaced Karen People (IDPs), we thank all of you who responded to the recent report of attacks by Burmese troops on Karen villages earlier this month. We thank you for your prayers and contributions - last week, we remitted about $4,000/= to buy medicine, food and other emergency supplies. This will definitely save lives who are desperately running in the cold and mountainous jungle. May God honour your act of love to our brethren. The following are the latest updates to this ongoing crisis:

SEED Team back from Thailand!! - Dec 2004

Praise God for another successful time of ministry among the Karen refugees in Thailand! As usual, team members were opposed with sickness and other physical difficulty, but rose above and accomplished God's purpose for this trip. In the 2 weeks there, they were involved in children's ministry and church leadership building and empowerment. Truly, "I will build MY church and the gates of hell will not prevail!" Literally! Condensed World Mission Course - Lifepoint

Lifepoint Church in Wellington will be offering the Condensed World Mission Course for people interested in knowing God's heart for the nations. This is an excellent introductory course for people dipping their toes into the exciting world of mission, but also a great refresher for people who have been involved for years to catch a fresh vision for the Nations! When I took the course, there were people who had never stepped out of New Zealand, but also pastors, and a missionary lady who had been working in central asia and the middle east for 30+ years!!

From Wellington with Love - We're Back!

We’re back!! Firstly, I can’t say enough what a great team effort this trip was! From the people on the team that went, to people helping out at fundraising events, to prayers, to givers, this trip would not have been as effective as it was without you! Truly, it was a great picture of a community of faith in New Zealand reaching out and touching others around the world!
